Week Five Power Rankings (NFL)

1. Kansas City Chiefs: For the fourth straight season, they are 4-0. That’s pretty impressive. What I took away from the Chiefs win on Monday night was how their defense came to play, even without their best player in Chris Jones. The offense did its part, but the other side of the ball shined in that one. This shouldn’t be a surprise they are off to another strong start. That’s just how good they are.

2. Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers appears to be having fun once again. I said on the radio last week this is the best I’ve seen him look since 2014 when he won his last MVP. No Adams, no Lazard last week, no problem. Robert Tonyan stepped it up and became the next weapon for Aaron to mesh with. This is what the Packers were hoping would come from Jimmy Graham. The quarterback is on fire and the young offensive weapons continue to shine. Beware.

3. Buffalo Bills: Are you still not sold yet? I know their defense may not be as dominant as they were last year, but they don’t need to be. The offense is clicking which means they don’t need the defense to be perfect like they were in 2019. Stefon Diggs continues to show why he was such a key acquisition for them. You need someone to be your guy to make a big play, dial his number up. There’s nothing fake about this start.

4. Seattle Seahawks: They are 4-0 for the first time since 2013 which is also the year they won their first Super Bowl. As much as their defense has struggled this year, last week was the best they looked all year so far because they held the Miami Dolphins to field goals up until the final quarter of the game. Russell Wilson now has 16 touchdown passes this year. The same amount Peyton Manning had in 2013 through the first four games of the season.

5. Baltimore Ravens: Things are back to normal now. Lamar Jackson showed us his MVP style against the Washington Football Team. He scored on a 50-yard touchdown run then threw two more touchdown passes in the bounce back win. They know they’re a much better team than what they showed against the Kansas City Chiefs. The AFC North has been entertaining so far in 2020.
