2019 Recap: The injury bug decimated this team in 2019. Dylan Moses was lost for the year after tearing his ACL. By far, his presence was missed. He’s the quarterback of the defense. There was more pressure on their offense more to sustain longer drives. Tua Tagovailoa injured his hip which would be a season-ending injury. For the first time since the playoffs started, Nick Saban’s team didn’t make it! Quarterback Mac Jones played well in replacing Tua last year. This offense also featured two of the best wide receivers in the country: Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III. Each week, these two made it look easy.
Notable Losses: QB Tua Tagovailoa, WR Henry Ruggs, WR Jerry Jeudy, EDGE Terrell Lewis, EDGE Anfernee Jennings.
2020 Outlook: If healthy, they will get back to their dominant ways. I like the Alabama Crimson Tide to get back to the time and claim the west once again. Last season, the Tide allowed a little over five yards per play. I don’t see that happening this year. Especially with Moses and Joshua McMillian returning from injuries. The offense will have one of the best offensive lines in the nation along with a consistent running game. Running back Najee Harris decided to return for another year. Look for Jaylen Waddle to lead this group of wide receivers.
