Let’s Geaux To New Orleans

(4) Oklahoma Sooners at (1) LSU Tigers: It must be nice to be Lincoln Riley. His first three years as a coach, he leads his team to the Big 12 conference title. They’ve also been to the playoffs. The minute I saw the Utah Utes lose to Oregon last Friday night, this basically opened the door for the Sooners to sneak in. For the third consecutive year, Oklahoma is back in the playoffs. Jalen Hurts has played on this big stage before and won. His experience will be important for this stretch run; What a year it’s been in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Each week, I found myself praising this team. One of the best offenses in the country anchored by the Heisman front runner in Joe Burrow. If you enjoy shootouts, this is the game for you. Both these offenses can light the scoreboard up.

(3) Clemson Tigers at (2) Ohio State Buckeyes: Clemson has cruised this year. The only scare they really had was the challenge they received against Mack Brown’s North Carolina Tar Heels. Since then, they’ve cruised with dominating their opponents on the remaining schedule. Clemson has won 28 games in a row. What I like is how Dabo Swinney keeps his team focused. I think they’re fine without people really mentioning them; Ohio State has won every game on their schedule by double digits. They’ve been fun to watch. Justin Fields has put together a great season. Their offense has so many weapons from Chris Olave to K.J. Hill, Binjimen Victor and J.K. Dobbins. On defense, it all begins with Chase Young. These two met in the 2016 playoffs that saw Clemson shut down the Buckeyes in route to a championship.
