2025 Recap: What I can appreciate about them is they play hard each and every week and you know you’re going to get their best each game. This was one of the best offenses in their conference a season ago as they averaged 32 points per game and their defense was hit or miss allowing 23 a game. The Memphis Tigers finished their 2025 campaign with an 8-5 record and a 4-4 in conference record. Their season ended with a loss to the North Carolina State Wolf Pack in the Union Home Mortage Gasparilla Bowl.
Key Departures: Head Coach Ryan Silverfield, QB A.J. Hill, RB Sutton Smith, WR Jamari Hawkins, S Kamari Wilson
2026 Prediction: I see this Memphis group fighting and punching their ticket to the conference title game this year. This is a heavyweight in the conference, but they face a tougher schedule. Ryan Silverfield left to take the coaching job with the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Tigers have turned to Charles Huff to replace him as their new Head Coach. I get it maybe a new looking roster compared to last season, but that could work in their favor, especially with a new Head Coach because teams won’t know what to expect. Memphis will have key games against UNLV to kick things off, a non-conference showdown with Boise State and conference battles against UAB, Tulane and East Carolina.
