2024 Recap: I can respect the fact they still play hard, but I sense that teams don’t scare them as they did a few years back. In 2024, they finished with a 10-4 record and dominated the ACC with a 7-1 mark in the conference and I’ve often said that a team’s success is predicated upon what they do in conference/division play. They made it to the conference title game and also made another appearance in the College Football Playoff where they fell short to the Texas Longhorns in the first round.
Key Departures: WR Beaux Collins, DT Tre Williams, S R.J. Mickens, DE A.J. Hofler.
2025 Predictions: The Clemson Tigers should dominate the ACC this year as they have in the past and I have them finishing this year with an 11-1 record. It’s another year of Cade Klubnik and I’m ready to see how he climbs the ladder as the starting Quarterback this year. One thing we can expect from a Dabo Swinney coached team is a consistent defense and they will be one of the best not just in the conference, but the entire nation. SMU has a tougher non-conference schedule and we could be looking at Clemson winning back-to-back ACC conference championships. I feel this season will tell us if Dabo is still the coach for them moving forward.
