2025 Recap: They once again showed why they are a battle tested team and I remember saying a few times last year that if you want to beat them, you need to play all four quarters because a half will not cut it. I felt last season there were times when the Georgia Bulldogs would skate along and edge out victories which eventually catches up with you. I enjoyed what I saw from Gunner Stockton in his debut season as the starting Quarterback and one thing we know about this offense is they’re going to run the football. The defense was also one of the best last year which isn’t a shocker. The last time this group won a playoff game was when they repeated as champions during the 2022-23 season and they lost a heartbreaker against Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl.
Key Departures: WR Zachariah Branch, WR Colbie Young, WR Dillon Bell, TE Oscar Delp
2026 Prediction: This is still the cream of the crop in the SEC and they will remain at the top of the conference once again. The path once again will travel through Athens and Georgia has won back-to-back conference title games, but no playoff wins in that span, but I can see that changing this year. Gunner Stockton is back and Nate Frazier returns as Running Back 1. I’ll be watching to see how these pass catchers will blend in with the offense. As expected, the defense will remain one of the best in the nation. I will need to see more from their pass rush that only recorded 20 sacks a season ago.
