AFC Game Of The Week

Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers

Colts: You hear about everyone else in the AFC. The Chiefs of course. After all, they are the kings of the conference. Buffalo is up and coming, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Tennessee, and maybe Miami. The Colts get lost in the shuffle. This is no disrespect to any of the teams I listed, I still feel this is the biggest threat to Kansas City in the AFC. I said it during the Summer and I’m standing by it. This is a team that’s equipped to go on the road in the elements and wear teams down. They have the best offensive line in the league, a consistent running game, and one of the best defenses in the league. It also helps when Philip Rivers is playing well. On Sunday, they have a big game in Pittsburgh as they look to make a statement on the road.

Steelers: It’s definitely time to question them. I even said they were the least dominant undefeated team I’ve seen in all my years of watching football. I noticed more of their issues when they played the Ravens the second time. They’ve lost three straight games since starting 11-0. After watching the game against the Bengals, I noticed more. First, the wide receivers can’t hold onto the ball. Juju should spend more time on catching than dancing. Also, they can’t run the football nor can they convert on third down. They need a bounce-back game. This Sunday, they welcome the Colts to town for a huge showdown in the conference. The Steelers need something to help them get back on track.

Colts X-Factor: Nyheim Hines– Rivers love feeding him the ball. I enjoy watching how the Colts use him because they find the best possible mismatch and exploit it. He can also dominate the line of scrimmage as both a runner and receiving option.

Steelers X-Factor: Avery Williamson– He sees the play start-up, then he reacts. When it comes to stopping the run, Avery bursts through the lanes to make the tackle. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. The Steelers need a big game from him.

Final Thoughts: This is a big showdown for both teams. The Colts haven’t turned the ball over in their last three games. Pittsburgh is looking to stop the losing. Watch the Steelers throw many different looks at the Colts to attack this offensive line. The Colts play a controlled style of football. Don’t jump out of the box. Play what wins you games. It’s another crucial week of football.

Prediction: Colts 28 Steelers 24
