Week Three Power Rankings (NFL)

1. Baltimore Ravens– This is the most physical team in the league. They’re the type to want you to try and run the football on them, then they will punch you in the mouth. At the moment, they have the longest active winning streak in the NFL. 14 wins in a row dating back to last season. Are people still questioning Lamar Jackson? He’s shown that he can throw the ball from the pocket. The Ravens will get their biggest test on the young season tomorrow night against Kansas City.

2. Seattle Seahawks– They are rolling right now. Russell Wilson continued his hot streak last week. He threw five more touchdown passes last Sunday night against the New England Patriots. In two games, he’s thrown nine touchdown passes. Their offense looks so free flowing with him on the field. I’m still trying to figure their defense out right now because they’ve played sloppy football in the opening games. With time, I think they will improve. It’s week three. The Seahawks will host Dallas later this afternoon.

3. Kansas City Chiefs– The Los Angeles Chargers gave the defending champs all they could handle. Let’s remember that this is the same team that erased a 24 point lead in the playoffs back in January. If you’re facing them, putting them away early on is highly recommended. The crazy thought is we haven’t come close to seeing what they’re capable of doing offensively. It’s coming though. They truly had to grind that game out last week. It’s Baltimore next. Mahomes, Lamar, Monday night. I can’t wait.

4. Los Angeles Rams– They’ve looked like the Rams I’ve come to know since Sean McVay took the head coaching job. He’s gone back to the basics and has the running game going once again which allows the field to open up for Jared Goff in the passing game. Speaking of the passing game, Jared Goff is off to a fast start. When he does well, the team does well. The defense as expected is handling business. The Rams are back on the east coast. This time, it’s a battle with the Bills.

5. Green Bay Packers– The word I’ve used to describe them so far is comfortable. I say that because they look a lot more relaxed offensively than they did a year ago. 40 points in back to back games to start the year. Aaron Rodgers is doing what he does and Aaron Jones has been the engine behind this entire offense. So many expected them to regress this year, but that doesn’t look like it will happen. It’s a legendary quarterback battle in New Orleans tonight on Sunday Night Football.
