Week 15 Power Rankings (NFL)

1. Baltimore Ravens– This shouldn’t be a shocker to you. We are close to having the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC run through Baltimore. This would be just their third time ever clinching home-field advantage in the playoffs. They’ve been such a fun team to watch this year. For the second consecutive season, the Baltimore Ravens are AFC North champions. They’ve won ten straight games to put them at 12-2. Next is clinching that home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

2. San Francisco 49ers– Last week made more people notice. They shocked the world by going down to the Superdome and beating the Saints in the game of the year. With the win, they bounced back to the top seed in the NFC. With the Seattle loss, they regained first place in the NFC West. Now they’re 11-2 with three games to play. This team is the real deal. They don’t back down from anyone which I can appreciate. Each time the Saints scored, the Niners punched them back.

3. Kansas City Chiefs– They haven’t been here in a while. Winners of three straight, the Chiefs have won the AFC West for the fourth consecutive season. Sunday was a huge win for them against the Patriots in the AFC championship game rematch. Their defense once again answered the call and played lights out. They’ve been playing balanced football at the right time of the season. They’ve run the ball, Mahomes is still Mahomes, then you have the defense which has been playing well. Believe it or not, if New England were to lose any of their remaining games, the Chiefs could clinch one of the byes in the AFC because they own the head to head tiebreaker. This will be interesting to watch.

4. Green Bay Packers– They are closing in on their first NFC North division title since 2016. They didn’t look the greatest against the Redskins in week 14, but a win is a win in this business. I like the way this Packers team is built than what we’ve seen in previous years. They have that running game for the quarterback to lean on. Aaron Jones has been a spark for this entire offense. The defense is still showing they’re an improved group. The Packers will wrap the season up with three straight divisional games. Today, it’s the Bears in town at Lambeau.

5. New Orleans Saints– That was a tough loss to deal with last week. They came to play for sure. They just ran out of gas late when they needed to make a stop. The Saints can still wrap up one of the top seeds in the NFC with another win or two. I honestly think that wasn’t the last time we’ll see the Saints and 49ers meet up. Everyone wants to see this matchup happen again, this time with much more on the line. They’ll look to bounce back tomorrow night against the Colts. Drew Brees can become the all-time leader in passing touchdowns as he looks to surpass Peyton Manning.
