Week Ten Power Rankings (NFL)

1. New Orleans Saints– Seven wins and counting and they are the hottest team in football as we speak and they are coming off their biggest win of the season against the once undefeated Los Angeles Rams. I really need to know where the people are who wrote them off after the first game of the season. They are rolling right now and now sit atop the NFC along with Brees playing at an MVP level. It’s been fun to watch this football team play.

2. New England Patriots– I’ve been impressed with their defense in the last two weeks. First, they showed their strength in Orchard Park against the Bills on Monday night a few weeks ago and last week against the Packers, they held Aaron Rodgers to 17 points last Sunday night so I think it’s safe to say they’re getting into playoff form on their defense. This team just knows when to click and keep their foot on the gas. It’s going to be a family reunion of some sorts today. They face the Titans in Nashville and will also face Malcolm Butler, Dion Lewis and head coach Mike Vrabel, all guys who played for Belichick.

3. Kansas City Chiefs– They have the top record in the AFC right now at 8-1 and I think people wondered what they’d look like after starting so hot early on because they started 5-0 and struggled after. That hasn’t been the case this season. They face the Arizona Cardinals today before their big showdown with their once in-state rivals in Mexico City next Monday night.

4. Los Angeles Rams– They’ve been on top at number all season basically and rightfully so. Let’s be realistic here, they looked bad last week and the defense gave up 45 to the Saints, the most they’ve given up all season long. The defense must play better outside of Aaron Donald if they want to get to the big game in February.

5. Los Angeles Chargers– This is a good football team that more are beginning to notice and they won a big game on the road last week in Seattle against the Seahawks. Every win for them is important because they need to keep pace with the Chiefs in the AFC West.
