Week Ten Power Rankings (NCAA)

1. Alabama Crimson Tide– The bye week is over and it’s time to get back to business. This is a crucial stretch of the season and they are in a great position right now, then again, when aren’t they? Tonight will be the best defense they will have seen all season long in Baton Rouge against LSU in the biggest game of the weekend in college football. November is just a fun time in the game, isn’t it?

2. Clemson Tigers– What a performance against the Florida State Seminoles last Saturday and Trevor Lawrence continues to be the biggest factor in Clemson’s offensive attack as their running game struggled once again. Their defense also chimed in and completely shut down the Seminoles rushing attack. They are ranked second in the first set of playoff rankings.

3. Notre Dame Fighting Irish– They continue to have people talking and if they win out, they will be a playoff team and at this point, they definitely deserve. I called their game last week against Navy a trap game and they never fell into it. Ian Book continues to impress and it’s safe to say that they wouldn’t be in this same position with Wimbush as their quarterback. They’re in Evanston, Illinois today to face the Northwestern Wildcats.

4. Michigan Wolverines– The leaders of the Big Ten East and the first team on the outside looking in of the playoff picture. We’ve seen what they can do in the first two months of the season and they are one of the hottest teams in the country. Today will be a test and they’ll look to keep winning when the Penn State Nittany Lions come to town for a nice Big Ten showdown.

5. LSU Tigers– They’ve impressed me up to this point of the season and the committee is also impressed and them in the first four of the playoff rankings. Tonight though will be the tests of all tests with the Alabama Crimson Tide in town for a huge game in college football.
