2024 Recap: Here is how good this program has been since 2021. They hadn’t lost a regular season game since 2020 and last year alone, they lost two of them at the hands of the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels. Yes, they were able to defeat Texas for the SEC title last December, but ran into all sorts of problems when they got handled by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I guess they are vulnerable after all and I always say physical football teams don’t like it when you play their own style against them. They also had a lot of inconsistent play at Quarterback as Carson Beck struggled significantly as did Gunner Stockton.
Key Departures: QB Carson Beck, RB Trevor Etienne, EDGE Jalon Walker, S Malaki Starks, EDGE Mykel Williams.
2025 Prediction: Kirby Smart is the best Head Coach in the country and I don’t see the Georgia Bulldogs just falling apart like that. They will be one of the top teams once again in the country, a favorite to win the SEC and get back to the playoffs to compete for a championship. I’ve said this in the past before and I’ll say it again, they will rebuild, they will only reload. I need to see Georgia get back to their brand of football which is a consistent running game and that stingy defense that has been one of the best in the country these last few years. Two notable games on their schedule that stand out are a home game against the Alabama Crimson Tide and another showdown with Texas, this time in Athens.
