Week 11 Power Rankings (NFL)

1. Baltimore Ravens– They’re rolling right now. Five straight victories. They’re 7-2 atop the AFC North. I could watch their offense all day long if I wanted too. Lamar Jackson has made believers out of the people who said he should make a position change in the NFL. Now, he’s an MVP candidate. This is the best I’ve seen them look in years. Today is a big day in Baltimore. It’s the first match up between Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson in the NFL. This should be a fun one.

2. Seattle Seahawks– That was as gritty of a win as they come on Monday night against the 49ers. They got down early, but they never folded which shows how mentally tough they are as a football team. They really go as far as Russell Wilson takes them. He’s a tremendous leader. They’ll be a playoff team this year again. There isn’t a doubt in my mind about that. If the NFC playoffs are anything like we saw on Monday, we are in for a treat!

3. San Francisco 49ers– They didn’t drop too far in my rankings. They could’ve won that game, but they ran out of gas. Jimmy put them in the perfect position to win that game. It’s not his fault his kicker couldn’t connect on the field goal. Although they lost, they still have the top record in the NFC. There’s always a positive. After their game today against the Arizona Cardinals, the list of tough games begins. Green Bay next Sunday night, Baltimore the week after and then a showdown with the Saints for the top spot in the NFC potentially.

4. New England Patriots– Tom said the Super Bowl loss against the Philadelphia Eagles still haunts him to this day. When he says things like this, all I can advise the team the Patriots are about to play is to watch out. This could be the most focused they will be all year long especially after how they played in Baltimore prior to their bye week. This will be the Patriots first time playing the Philadelphia Eagles since Super Bowl 52. I’m all for a rematch. South Philadelphia will be rocking today.

5. Green Bay Packers– What I’ve been impressed with this season is how they’ve been able to grind games out. For years, they’ve had to blow teams out to make a statement. These aren’t your same Packers. Their defense has improved so much. They get takeaways, they rush the passer and finish tackles. The offense is finally settled in. Most importantly, they are running the football. This could be a tough team to face come playoff time.
