Week Five Power Rankings (NFL)

1. Los Angeles Rams– I’m sold on them and that game against the Minnesota Vikings truly opened my eyes. It wasn’t their best performance last Thursday night, but the offense bailed them out and Jared Goff had the game of his life. I truly don’t see this team losing any time soon and if they are consistent like this on a weekly basis, the road to Atlanta in the NFC will travel through Los Angeles. There’s nothing like home-field advantage, right? After the extra days to prepare, they will travel to face the Seahawks today.

2. Kansas City Chiefs– Monday night was a game that they truly had to grind out and they did just that. The defense didn’t look the greatest, but they did enough to help seal the deal and they held Denver to 23 points. Their offense was finally held under 30 and we all saw what Mahomes is truly made of and he passed that test. These next two weeks will show us what the Chiefs are really made of. Jacksonville today which hopefully will be a good game and next Sunday night, they travel to Foxboro to face the Patriots, a team they’ve had success against.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars– They bounced back nicely after deciding not to show up in week three against the Titans. Here’s the crazy thing about their performance in week four: they didn’t force any turnovers, they just overpowered the Jets and affected Darnold throughout the game. They’ll have to be ready today to face Mahomes and the high-powered offense of the Kansas City Chiefs.

4. New Orleans Saints– After a sluggish start losing their first game of the season, they’ve bounced back nicely to win their last three games. When they have everything clicking, they can beat anyone and anywhere. Their defense finally showed up last week against the Giants. They will also get Mark Ingram back from his four-game suspension. We will also see Drew Brees make history tomorrow night against the Washington Redskins.

5. Tennessee Titans– I’ve been impressed with them so far and it seems as if they’ve really bought into what Mike Vrabel has sold to them. They just look like a completely different team. The offense is more consistent, the offensive line is improving by the week, they play well on defense as a team and they don’t give up and last week was a perfect example of that when they beat the Eagles.
